Jill Fellner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in providing therapy for adults and emerging adults. She maintains a private practice in Oradell, NJ.
Jill’s education includes undergraduate and graduate studies in Psychology and Social Work from Clark University (BA) and New York University (MSW). While at NYU, Jill expanded her clinical knowledge as an intern at the Institute for Psychoanalytic training and research. Jill has completed more than eight years of intensive study in Body-Centered Counseling, Advanced Somatic-Intuitive Dialoging as well as Intuitive Experiential Gestalt therapy . She has attended over 350 hours of coursework at the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence. Jill applies several theoretical approaches and techniques to her work with clients including, but not limited to: attachment theory, CBT , positive psychology, DBT , and the 12-step recovery model . She has had the honor of learning DBT skills directly from the creator of DBT , Marsha Linehan, PhD., and recently earned a certificate in complex trauma through Rutgers University.
Jill’s goal is to create an authentic therapeutic relationship that will bring your needs, desires, and sensitivities to consciousness. There is a strong focus on communication with self and others in this process. Jill's strength lies in offering new perspectives, exploring and validating emotional experience, and providing guidance towards healing with honesty, sensitivity, and care.
